Duvan started fishing at 4 years old in a freshwater dam.
At around 9 he was introduced to salt water and never looked back again.
He spent 10 years fishing socially improving exponentially. At the age of 18 he started fishing professionally and made the u21 side. By the age of 20 he made provincial senior A teams. And after competing 5 years on the level he got awarded his SA president colors.
He is now a full time fisherman and guide in the Eastern cape in South Africa.
